Here's a brief overview of what you can expect after you
sign up.
An unlimited number of teams can exist in Mastermind Football.
Each team can have up to 46 players.
Additionally, each team has a salary cap which may limit which
players you can afford to have on your team. You can add and remove
players and coaches from your team at any time. There will always
be a certain number of players and coaches that aren't a part of
any team, and you can sign them to your team if you offer them
enough money. You can also trade players with other teams if you
offer them players they want.
Teams play one another by joining seasons. Each team in a season
plays each of the other teams in that season twice. So if there are
6 teams in a season, each team will play 10 games during the
regular season. At the end of the season, the best teams advance
to the playoffs to separate the men from the boys. During the playoffs, the teams play one another in
single elimination games until a single champion remains. Your
record during the regular season determines who you play in the
playoffs. For example, in a 6 team season, 4 teams go to the
playoffs. The 1st place team plays the 4th place team, and the
2nd place team plays the 3rd place team. The winners of those
games then play each other for the championship.
As your team plays more games, the team, players, and coaches
accumulate lots of statistics that you can use to evaluate their
performance. Your initial task is to build a winning team. Once
you accomplish that, your ongoing goal is to try and keep them
winning as players and coaches leave the team.
